CHANGE IN BILLING POLICY

As of the 11th April 2023, Point Lonsdale Medical Group will become a private billing medical clinic.

As you may well be aware the government issued Medicare rebate has struggled to keep up with the increasing costs of providing healthcare. To continue to deliver the high-quality medicine we believe you deserve, we will need to charge all of our patients a gap fee moving forward. A discounted rate is available for our pension and health care card holding patients. We will continue to be transparent with any out-of-pocket expense you may incur with our fees available on our website and at the surgery. Please check with reception for your doctors individual billing practices.

So many of you have remained as our loyal and valued patients for many years, if you find yourself under financial hardship, please discuss with your GP, we will endeavour to assist our patients as best we possibly can. Thank you for your understanding.
