Rhys graduated Medicine from Deakin University in 2019. He previously worked at Barwon Health in varying areas such as Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Plastics and Reconstructive surgery, and various emergency department and urgent care roles. Rhys obtained his fellowship from RACGP in 2025. Rhys enjoys all areas of General practice but particularly enjoys sports and exercise medicine and preventative health. Rhys had done additional sports coverage and is currently head doctor for the Geelong Football Club’s AFLW side, previously head doctor for the Geelong Cats VFLW and provided match day coverage for Geelong’s WNBL side in their inaugural year. Outside of GP, Rhys enjoys spending time with his young family and getting out and exploring the beaches and surrounding areas of the Greater Geelong area.
